with the new rate increase we continue to operate under a negative deficit. Comment...they still don't get it!
Under new business:
The cost of insurance coverage
will increase to $8K to $9K per year. The new amount increases the coverage on the clubhouse to $400K, covers 3 tanks, 89
fire hydrants plus truck insurance, etc. One question...how much are the directors increasing their errors and omissions insurance
coverage?
They passed resolution
8-2009 which states they do not intend to levy any pipeline taxes on the community for fiscal yr '09.
Passed what will be resolution
9-2009(?) which will require all non operating district public indebtedness to be put to the vote of the people on a county
ballot. One comment...this community hasn't EVER voted on a question in 20 years NOW they are passing resolutions that puts
questions to the voters on a county ballot?
They accepted a bid from
Ed Meeks, a fully licensed contractor, to grade our roads ASAP.
They are suspending all
directors fees until the district is operating in a positive budget balance. Comment.....Then why are they still talking about
giving the General Manager a salary increase?
They adopted another resolution
(yet to be numbered) that restricts the directors from increasing their fees unless the increase is put to the vote of the
community on a county ballot. See my comment above about voting and county elections.
